Classic High Tea -  11 Dec

Over twenty members turned out for the Classic High Tea in Perth on Sunday 11th December. Many a tall story was told, and tales of events over the past year recounted as we sat around a log fire in the lounge of the Royal George Hotel.

Members had traveled from the Inverness area, down the east coast,Edinburgh and the borders to join the event.

Over a great menu which had everything from fish an chips to a full house mixed grill, and lamb and beef in betweeen the conversation included stories of changes to the Classic cars, updates, refurbishments and repairs, plus the plans for the work to be done over the winter.

Everyone was interested in the 2012 calendar and especially the arrangements for the Mont start which this year sets off from Clydebank, see the press launch article.

Margaret and Donald Campbell had a poster from member David Barritt who has put together a Classic tour in the north of England in May 2012. More on this soon on the website, but you can download the poster here

Allto soon it was time to return home, but some were off to marshal on the Le Jog, (Lands End to John O' Groats) rally, due to arrive from England the next morning. Some were heading for the Raceland Kart ciruit at Haddington for a test, while others would meet them later at Aberfoyle for another test round the cones.

Look out for the 2012 preview of CHMSC events soon.
